Hi I just finally got the hand of Fedora and yet it seems that I cannot download anything using Azureus. I did disable the SELinux. Does anyone have any suggestions at all.
yes I did try that, also this is what I am getting when I test the connection.
Testing port 63452 ...
NAT Error - Connect attempt to 66.31.17.108:63452 (your computer) timed out after 20 seconds. This means your port is probably closed.
You tried it but did you actually get it right? I mean, did you open the web interface to your router and fill out the service, port, IP address etc. to be forwarded? Did you open up your firewall on Fedora? You need to enable access to the port in System > Administration > "something" (Sorry, I'm not on Fedora so I can't check the exact name right now - have a look for yourself).
Have you tried searching google with the type of your router and "azureus"? Setting up azureus was a bit overwhelming for me as well at first - until I found there's a site on the internet that lists an extensive set op routers with very clear instructions on setting up azureus (amond other things) for each one. I wish I could remember what it was called...
I have a similar problem. I forwarded the ports successfully, it connects fine. The problem is that while it sees hundreds of peers and seeds, it won't connect to any seeds and only a few peers. But more importantly, it won't download squat. The download speed remains at zero even if I keep it on overnight.
So far I haven't had any problem on any other platform, just Fedora 7, it worked fine on Fedora Core 6 but Fedora 7 just won't do it. I tried the same thing on another system too and had the exact same problem. Is Fedora 7 the Windows Vista of Linux or something?
