ATI Radeon hd2400pro & Fedora 9 - "Unknown video card"

I just installed this (its the ASUS EAH2400PRO PCI-e variant) and have no clue how to get the system to recognise it. Is there something I could use with yum to get it going? Thanks.

Here's a good guide to installing the proprietary fglrx driver on Fedora 9.

I don't think you still need to downgrade your X server as written there, but I'm not sure.

supposedly the open ati driver ( installed at system install) mostly works .
seeing as it dose not ,you will need to downgrade xorg to the one in fedora8 .
ATI dose not support the new xorg in fedora 9 yet. Fallow the above how to

Hi Friend ..

I got a link to give a try , I am also using the ATI Radeon Xpress 1250 Video Card and fedora 9 .

http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html

From the link select the appropriate product and then install them.

I have a problem with running the Video , but I use the a low resolution to watch ....

Just install the driver and start in init:3 mode .

If the X server fails to load then give the command aticonfig-initial -f ,
it will revert back to your old state .

Thanks
Peeths
