Fedora core Test1.
Apt-get upgrade , downdloaded a number of RPM packages from freshrpms.us.net/development
and put them in the /var/cache/apt/archive and they are later versions than installed .
Why can't I rpm -Uvh *.rpm those packages? Apt-get comes back with something about
"Unsigned /var/cache/apt/archive (for all the packages) what gives, Am I of the understanding
that you just can't upgrade Fedora Test1 core?

The apt-get version you are using is by defualt designed to prevent unsigned packages from installing. Since NON of the test packages are signed, they will not install. However, you can tell apt-get to ignore that by editing a switch in it's configuration file. Go to /etc/apt and find the config file. You will see the "GPG Signature check+"false" commented out with probably a couple of
slash marks like this: //
Take those out and it will ignore the Signatures...then it will install the rpms....
