anaconda crashing on Dell E1505 laptop installation.

I am installing Fedora 6 on Dell laptop E1505 and I am getting the following exception. I googled on this topic but haven't found any info.

Can someone please let me know what could be the issue?

Exception Occurred
Traceback (most recent call first):
File
"/usr/lib/anaconda/textw/timezone_text.py" line 33, in getTimezoneList
zt = zonetab.ZoneTab()
File
"/usr/lib/anaconda/textw/timezone_text.py"
line 61, in __call__
timezones = self.getTimezoneList()
File "/usr/anaconda/text.py", line 517, in run
rc = win(self.screen, instance)
File "/usr/bin/anaconda", line 957, in ?
anaconda.intf.run(anaconda)
AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute 'ZoneTab'

--------------------
What's wrong here with anaconda and how do I fix it?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

What exactly did you do before this error occured? Did you check the MD5sum on the iso you downloaded?

Yes. I checked the checksum as well as CD 'Test' before starting the
installation.

What I did before this crash:
1. Partition 40GB space on my hard disk using Partition Magic 8.0 from
Windows XP.

2. Booted with Fedora Core 6 1st disk

3. I gave 'linux text' at boot:

4. After basic things, at partition screen, I asked to take the
free space and install Linux.

After this, I saw this exception. On this laptop, I am installing
Linux first time. So, no previous versions of Linux on hard disk.

Thanks.

That's strange! I'm writing this on the same model laptop with FC 6. I installed from dvd and it went flawless!

Exactly the same problem. Fed 6.

Hi I am having exactly the same issue on a new desktop. In graphical install, the system appears to hang just before timezone selection, only going into terminal and ctrl+alt+deleting reboots the system. In text install, I get the exact same error messages as above. What can I do? Also how do I ensure that the kernel source libraries are put into /usr/src when I do get the install to work? Thanks.
