Has anyone been able to get Elementary OS working on a Surface touchscreen? The OS works fine except the touchscreen.
What version of Elementary, and what model Surface?? Details are needed. Most versions of Linux have it working right out of the box...openSUSE, Ubuntu, etc. Why Elementary?

Version 6.1 Jolnir - Ubuntu 20.04 LTS
Surface Pro 5
Chosen because I used it on a previous laptop and liked it. That being said, I have no problem using another distribution of Linux if I can't get Elementary to work.
My understanding is that touch screen support is in the kernel.
Whether that includes support for a Surface touchscreen I have no way of testing. This link lists supported formats, but I don't know enough to interpret them.

As said, support is in the kernel, and I can 100% verify that it worked on a Surface Pro 3, 5, and now a 9, since I had/have those devices (currently on a 9). Using openSUSE, 100% worked out of the box. Ubuntu and Mint should also be supported.
Elementary is BASED on Ubuntu, but doesn't necessarily include everything. I'd suggest either Mint or Ubuntu, since you're already familiar with those distro types.
