Extremely challenged going wireless DL 3.5

I had win 7 and ubuntu 10.04 in dual boot both wireless. Added DL and no problem now have a multiple boot BUT not on line. I admit at 80 I am no longer sharpest knife in drawer (retired chef) This is new Toshiba and up till now since Win 3.1 I have been wired so wireless is a real challenge. When I went wireless in win 7 I typed my name and used my phone number. Installed 10.04 and it immediately recognized my wireless. I know now I was just lucky. Someone please help this old man and thanks

DreamLinux 3.5 is based on Debian 5, which is nowadays rather old (although supported), and may eventually not support your wireless, or at least not out of the box.
If you post the output of the command lspci we will see what chipset is in use and can give you better help.
