XFCE lose of Terminal

I have been running Debian Sarge for several months now with no problems.

I am running 2.6.8.1-i686, with xfce4

I run apt-get update, apt-get dist-upgrade about everyother week. Last weekend after doing this, I lost the ability to choose a terminal from either my toolbar or the popup menus. I can only get a terminal form the File Manager and then choosing Terminal.

Any idea as to what I have done wrong?

Thanks for any answers or guidence.

IIRC, you can right-click on the terminal icon on the taskbar, go to Properties and type the name of your favorite terminal (xterm, aterm, etc), close, logout/login, it's been a long time since i used xfce4

That is not what I mean. After an update/upgrade the terminals no longer work. Does this mean that something I did goofed or is there another problem?

I have since updated again and they are still down. Maybe I should just setup another type of terminal?
