console log in, then startx.
Situation
After dist-upgrade, X refuses to kick in.
Last upgrade was July 2015.
xinit upgrades 1.3.4-1 to 1.3.4-3
Troubleshooting.

Current situation
With the trick above, X kicks in. But still long way to go.
