hi

I have clamav daemon installed on Etch.
Using freshclam I'm getting this problem:

BTW to remove and install again doesn't help.

Hi,

It looks like a permissions issue. Make sure that the user running clamav (usually it's clamav) has write permissions in /var/lib/clamav

user clamav has write permissions and still doesn't work:

If it's not permissions, it could be apparmor.
You can download main.cvd from clamav, chown it to clamav:clamav and see if freshclam can update it.
