Upgrade Sarge to Etch

I have just upgraded Debian Sarge to Debian Etch, using "apt-get dist-upgrade".

Everything seems to be updated, and I have got KDE 3.4 and the newer version of Gnome. However, KDE seems somewhat broken.

I have no entries in the K-Menu, and if I add any manually, they dont stay.

The Kde Control Centre seems to have no options. The sidebar on the left has no entries.

All my file associations are gone. I have some links to directories on my desktop, and to open them I have to manually select "Konqueror" from the "Open With..." Dialogue. This also does not stay permanent, even if I click "Remember this association..." To open a sub-directory, I have to do the same thing.

Any help would be musch appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Try running 'apt-get -f install'. The -f switch is for -fixing.
