Thankx a Lot Guys

Hell everybody.
At last I configured my Office PC for the resolution 1024 x 768. Thanks a lot for this Kindly help. But, in my Home I have Intel 845GVSR motherboard and Samsung 753s Monitor. I have Woody 3.0r2 and XFree 4.4.0. While looking at the log file, it said "Found 845G Chipset" but not showing 1024x768 mode. It says "1024 x 768 (no mode of this name) and 800 x 600 (no mode of this name), using default mode 640 x 480". Now plz help me, what to do. But my RH is working in 1024 x 768, so I copied the RH XFConfig file to Debian /etc/.. directory. But after running xdm, kdm or gdm it said "can't find /lib/agpgart". What to do now? Finally i configured my Office PC but not my Home PC. plz let me know what to do?

You can configure your X the hard way, but by far the EASIEST way is to make a Knoppix LiveCD and boot it on the computer that you want to set up as Debian box. Knoppix autodetects your display hardware and creates a XF86Config-4 file, which you can move into your Debian partition in the hard disk (either by using floppy disk or by simply mounting the hard disk drive from Knoppix).

Or, better yet, print the Knoppix-made XF86Config-4, then run 'dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86' in Debian and extract the correct specs from the Knoppix XF86Config-4. This way you give debconf more power and you'll also learn more about your computer.
