Hi,
I have just installed lenny on my new Dell notebook. I also successfully installed the last nvidia proprietary driver for the Quadro FX 2700M card (namely 185.18.10 beta version). But suspend does not work: it seems that the beginning of the suspend is OK (hardware seems to shutdown, including the screen), but some sort of immediate reboot takes place (I can hear an access to the CD/DVD writer, then the HD runs, the screens remains black but now powered with a blinking cursor on the upper left corner). After some tens of second I get an unlock window prompting for login name and password.
Here is my uname -a output:
GNU/Linux
Code:
Siula-Grande:/home/fred# uname -a
Linux Siula-Grande 2.6.26-2-amd64 #1 SMP Sun Jun 21 04:47:08 UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux
GNU/Linux
Please tell me which additionnal info or command output would help for I'm not at all an expert.
Thank's in advance for any help.
Frederic.
PS: I found that suspend works fine with ubuntu jaunty (I checked this with a jaunty live cd), but this does not tell me what should be changed with my lenny install.
