successfully running kernel 2.6.8.2 smp on sarge

i am running kernel 2.6 on sarge with no problems, so far........ all i did is use synaptic to install an image of the kernel.........it checked for dependencies and did the installation automatically............now i can use grub to boot with either kernel 2.4, 2.6 or their failsafe modes

this is why i recommend debian sarge for beginners...............apt-get or synaptic are powerful tools
