rt2570usb (ralink chipset) driver with debian (kernel 2.6.11)
Hi, I have installed Debian from Kanotix 2005 03 live cd and have installed the rt2570 drivers from ralink with make - make install and configured the system-wireless network setting and added 'rausb0' to the modules to load on startup list and also 'alias rausb0 rt2570' to modprobe.conf but it does not load on startup, it says no usb modules.
This is for d-link dwl-g122 rev.b1
lsusb shows the device
Does anyone know how i can fix this?
thanks
You have to add ip configuration to /etc/network/interfaces
My interfaces file:
----------------------------
# This file describes the network interfaces available on your system
# and how to activate them. For more information, see interfaces(5).
# The loopback network interface
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback
It worked
I need to learn more about how Linux works :P
Thank you very much ColdFish, the USB dongle is working fine now, debian is alot better than the fedora core system I used to have
