Reboot Hangs...Didn't On FC2

I recently updated my server box to Debian: Sarge from Fedora 2. BIG improvement, I must say. One of my only issues is the fact that rebooting doesn't work anymore, which is quite odd. What I mean by that is when I issue the "reboot" or "shutdown -r now" commands, it'll shut itself down as it should, but instead of having 20 or so seconds before it kicks itself back on again to boot, it just sits there with no video output.

I should mention that the power hardware on this box is the old style I/O (on/off) switch instead of the newer "push 'n' hold" style of button. It used to reboot when I had FC2 installed, but for some reason, Sarge doesn't want to do so.

This seems weird to me, as I thought the OS really had nothing to do with such an action, but aparently it does. Any help on this one?

Cheers,
Jesse
