For the new Sarge installer you type linux26 to get the 2.6 kernel. The first screen in the installation says "Press F1 for help or ENTER to boot:". People should press F1 and look around at the options.

Well the problem with the x config however I do it is that it won't work with 24bit colour, and it should. Also, whenever I try to install anything now, it comes up with an error about depending on xterminal (which seems to be installed already) and when I try to install xterminal it brings up an error when it tries to overwrite /usr/share/apps/icons/48x48/terminal.png (I think that's right, trying to remember from last night) and it says it is already part of package kdebase, deleting this file has no effect.
