Hello everyone, 1st I like to apologize for my poor english and 2nd I like to ask you for your help!

For the first time I am trying to install a Linux (Debian) on my computer.

1) I choosed a DVD full-install, because I thought, there are surely all driver/firmwares needed ("firmware-10.6.0-amd64-DVD-1.iso") in that package.

2) During the installation the two onboard network cards (Realtek RTL8110SC - PCI Gigabit Ethernet controller) of my Abit IP-35 pro mobo were found.

3) But no DHCP auto. or manual configuration leads into a connection.

4) After the basic installation and login I cant install firmware for the network cards because:
a) a found only a makefile-tar ("realtek8168-8.046.00.tar" and "r8169-6.028.02") to use.
b) but the make-cmd is missing in my install
c) because of that I cant install the firmware for the network card(s)
d) I don't have internet access to install updates, upgrades or packages.
e) there is no "compiled" firmware as *.deb for a RTL8110SC for a new installation...

After hours I am incredibly frustrated and sad that my first Debian adventure had to end like this :-/

btw. when I tried this axact Debian version in a VirtBox on W10 everthing worked perfectly.

I asking for help!

It's probably a good idea to try and find out exactly which firmware file the kernel might be looking for, and possibly failing to find on your system, as a starting point.

Can you run the following command in a terminal window;

And then post the output within CODE tags.

This way, and if the kernel isn't finding firmware it needs for your network controller, we can hopefully find an exact filename to search for and hopefully get installed. As from what you've said, it does sound like the kernel isn't able to load the firmware for your network controller.

What you call firmware (under 4a) isn't firmware but vendor drivers from Realtek. For RTL8110SC the r8169 in-kernel driver should be fine.
This chip version doesn't need firmware. Best post a full dmesg log.
Which network manager are you using, and did you check its config?

Hello guys & sorry for my late reply, I had some family issues.

Thx for the reactions and comments.

What I found -by reading some posts here in the forum- that the rescue-option could help installing the drivers for the network cards, and esp. for my RTL8110SC(L) dual onboard LAN of Abit IP35 pro Mobo.

1) So I dl a bunch of non-free firmwares (*.deb-files) & dropped them on the USB-Debian install stick ('r8168-dkms_8.048.03-1_all.deb' and 'firmware-realtek_20190114-2~deb9u1_all.deb', in the folder 'firmware', then booted from the USB-install stick and went to menue "Debian Rescue ..." and more-or-less pushed trough the install procedure again.

2) The network card detection started again and found the onboard dual Realtek as 8110Sc with a 8169-chipset (i think).

3) Installation succsess(!!!), reboot, aaaaand LAN-connection with 1GBE, so all good.

I am still not sure, if it was the copying of the firmwares on the USB-stick, but the normal installation process found the card but didnt install the firmware...
The Rescue-Install looked kind of the same but the install incl. DHCP-connect was successful.
