Looking for ultimate font setup...

Hey all,

I have found myself stuck in a never ending quest for optimal font configuration (who hasn't? ). I feel like there are many outdated resources online and was wondering if anyone knew of any good, up to date resources? Especially ones using debian font configuration tools.

Well I just put a .font.conf file in my home folder which seems to work fine (i install ms fonts, put freetype fonts on top in xorg.conf..):

http://users.skynet.be/six/gpure/tec...er/.fonts.conf

(it's xml format, so browser maybe doesn't show you the contents of file!)

Thanks! I will try that. Did you tweak that just based on the thread from this forum, or from other resources?
