Lilo won't install in Boot paritian

Lilo won't install in the boot partition on my second drive. The first 100 meg is boot . Any ideas?

Okay, first do you have a line in lilo.conf that says

boot = /dev/hdb

and under your boot image section do you have something like this?

image = /boot/vmlinuz
root = /dev/hdb6
label = Slackware

Don't forget to run lilo after changing the conf file. If not, please post again with the error message lilo gives when you run it.

I believe that lilo only works installed to the boot partition if you have another boot manager in your MBR referencing it.
In most cases you will need to install lilo to your MBR for it to work.
