I seem to be having a small issue with Debian Sarge and using konqueror to browse the web. Ive seen similar threads on the board but no real answers. The problem is that when trying e.g. http://google.com/ in konqueror firefox will open and show the page, which is obviously not what I want.

Has anyone had the same problem and found a solution?

-- Ive sort of fixed it however the problem now is that it wants to download the webpage and view the temporary file which is annoying.

check control center->component chooser->web browser, set konqueror as your preferred browser.
also see if there is a way to set firefox to NOT be the preferred browser from within firefox
you might also apt-get remove firefox (do apt-get -P remove firefox...-P is purge) then reinstall it if you really want it. I had some problems trying to install firefox since debain has renamed it, it's now called iceweasel. When I tried to apt-get install firefox it confused itself trying to install both iceweasel and firefox so install just iceweasel.
