Knoppix is incomplete?

I remember seeing a thread here in the last few weeks mentioning that Knoppix isn't a full blown Debian install or doesn't include all the things a normal Debian install does. I don't remember the name of the thread it was in. Is this true that Knoppix is a incomplete Debian distro?

Knoppix installation is not "incomplete" but it's incompatible to Debian in many ways.
Knoppix contains some unofficial packages, and sometimes broken apt system and broken dependencies.
That means that if you want to install knoppix as it is, it's all good but when you'd like to update the system or install new programs using apt, you might run into some little problems, most of which are easy to fix for an experienced Debian user but also time consuming.

if you are looking for a cleaner Debian install using liveCD I would suggest Morphix.

You can also start a full and clean Debian install using debootstrap (which exists in most LiveCDs i saw) but you must have time, patience and a Debian expert sitting beside you for this one.

installation method

Which would you recommend most: installing Morphix Gamer from the livecd, using debootstrap to perform a actual Debian install, or telling the Fink project to port Morphix's TROM (Total Remastering of Morphix) utility to Mac OS X so I can make my own customized Morphix cd? Btw when one uses TROM to make a customized Morphix cd does it also redo the installer so I can install from it?
