Does nybody succesfully compiled and configured Kernel 2.6.5 + KDE 3.2 + GNOME 2.6 in Debian Woody 3.0r2 ? If yes, plz gimme useful docs, important steps to be followed and some good links.
Installing kde 3.2 and gnome 2.6 would require you upgrade to unstable (sid) not woody. Woody does not have kde 3.2 and gnome 2.6 packages in it's repositories.
I did hear that sarge (testing) has kde 3.2 but not even unstable has gnome 2.6 yet. You would have to install it through it's sources and I tried that myself but found that I couldn't find all the packages or source files on the net, needed to upgrade to gnome 2.6 yet. I'm sure there is a way but I did alot of googling and couldn't find all the extra files needed to get gnome 2.6 yet.
There are problems with 2 packages, kugar is one but I cannot remember the other when installing 3.2. Both must be removed before trying to install. 3.2 came into sarge a few days ago as I installed on Saturday while doing a dist-upgrade.
