Jessie bluetooth receive file transfer not working

after upgrading to jessie, bluetooth audio works fine, and sending files also but will not receive, a connection appears to be attempted but fails no error message is given. This happens for all devices which previously worked with wheezy.

I have read that when jessie was testing there was a bug >> https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugr...cgi?bug=718596

can anyone advise?

note somewhat novice

thanks

Ideas might be to look at change log for the versions. See if they updated driver for your device and or updated the application that you are using. If so then downlevel one at a time to see if you can fix issue. You may find that a few hundred files could be affected if it is the application by dependency hell. Driver ought to be somewhat easier so I'd start there.

It could be more complex if timings get involved, may have to see if you can revert kernel only.

anything helpful please?

so far i have not resolved this problem. I note that the exact same problem exists for a system with ubuntu 14.04 duel booting to debian wheezy on that same system and it is possible to send AND receive files via bluetooth. windows 7 on both of these systems also works bidirectionally.

I am beginning to suspect there is a serious flaw in the new bluez subsystem.

advise ??
