is there a chance debian 10 will include LXQT rather than LXDE?
maybe a very stupid question due to architecture as such: but does anyone know if debian 10 will move lxde to lxqt? i am mpst happy with lxde. but i have read a lot of things stating that lxqt is the more current way to go. maybe it is not possible but i have to ask. i did have contact with one of the developers over the last year but i no longer have hi address.
thank you - was it hard to install? any issues? do you like it better than lxde? sorry i have to ask.
as i said i am happy with my first time esperience with lxde and also debian. just ead ;xqt is where it is tranforming into is maybe the best way to describe it.

LXQt is great if you use it as a lightweight KDE. If you only notice, focus on, how it has changed since LXDE days then you probably will not like it.
It is lightweight, can use any WM, and is supported and progressing. They made the jump to Qt4 then Qt5 while others are still struggling with the jump to GTK3, so that's a bonus, perhaps.
ok running stretch now and will keep it as such but wondering when 10 buster stable comes out if and when i upgrade. wondering if that was the normal procession of lxde to lxqt. as i said i am most happy with lxde - i am surprised. also it would be a dvd install and not netinstall. thank you too!

My understanding is, as long as GTK2 is supported then LXDE will be as well, there is a maintainer for it just not PCMan anymore, his focus is on LXQt.
ok just an addendum. just looked on the debian website under non-free live cd/dvd iso and buster has lxde and lxqt so looks like at this stage either is possible.
