Question install just base (installing now)

i'm installing (net install) and i want to basically just have the base (then go from there) do i connect to a network mirror? i'm at the step right now and i don't want to mess up. or do i connect to one and just not install any of the software packages.

i want to be able to add to it. so i'm guessing that i want to select a mirror?

Sure, connect to a mirror. You'll be later installed about what package sets to install (i.e. "web server", "standard system", etc.). Just deselect all and move on. I usually do these types of installs myself.

Yes, you want to select a mirror, just de-select everything then reboot. When you're at a root terminal prompt fire up aptitude and pull down what you want from the Internet.
