How to look at the text flying by at boot?

Hi,

Is there a logfile or something where I check my 'boot' text for errors?

I can see one or two errors at boot, but the text flyes by pretty quick so I can't read the message.

Debian Etch runs fine, so it doesen't seem to cause any big trouble for my system, but I want to check it out.

Is it 'normal' that there are some smaller errors posted at boot? I know that Etch is socalled 'unstable' but it has less errors during boot, than the 'Sarge' version had on my PC.

You can also enable bootlogd in /etc/default/bootlogd and then check /var/log/boot.

Thanks for your help. I will go check out some logs

What about the other question I had: Is it 'normal' to experience a couple of errors during boot?

I think it depends on the errors. For instance, my errors are usually for modules that have already loaded. I don't know why the system tries to load them again, but it does. However everything works fine.
