How to enable/show Iceowl?

Hi. Am using a standard 64-bit Debian 8 system. I use Icedove for my mail client. I would like to give Lightning a try. I believe this is call Iceowl in Debian. I made sure iceowl-extention is installed (even reinstalled the package), but I do not understand how to enable Iceowl or to make it show somewhere on the Icedove window. Perhaps I am overlooking something obvious, but I don't see it among the buttons, or listed in the drop down menu, or in the add-ons menu.

On an open icedove window, click tools and select calendar or tasks.

It doesn't seem to be there. You're probably thinking this is a PBKAC case, so I have some screen shots attached.

Code:
$ sudo apt-get install iceowl-extension
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
iceowl-extension is already the newest version.
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
I'm going to try a new profile and see what happens.

Hmm, wierd. If I use a different profile, the iceowl extension works from the beginning. Must be some settings issue with my profile, then.

I rebuilt the profile and it is working now. I suppose a truly dedicated investigator would take the time to figure out what was wrong with the old profile... but that's not me.
