how does one install a linux-image with an earlier kernel version?

I am trying to install Debian Squeeze with a Xen-enabled kernel. The latest release includes kernel 2.6.32-38. I want to install with kernel 2.6.32-35.

All this information I viewed using less /proc/version (not uname -r)

In the usual naming scheme, the latest available install image is:

linux-image-2.6.32-5-xen-amd64 (2.6.32-38)

And I want to install
linux-image-2.6.32-5-xen-amd64 (2.6.32-35)

how can I either install or downgrade the linux-image to build with the older kernel?

any perspectives are greatly appreciated!

Go to synaptic, mark the ones you want for installation and install them.
