How do I get pretty anti-aliased fonts in debian lenny?

Hi, I'm a new debian/linux user and I was really happy that I finally got Xorg working at the resolution I wanted, but I have to say that the fonts are not the prettiest. How do I get better fonts on debian?

Thanks.
