grub error 17

Hello, is that the old pentium II that I got, I tried to put debian 7 and installed but on reboot it said "grub Error 17", I thought it might be debian and tried to antiX which is based on Debian and gives me the same error, it installs fine but I get the error "Error 17" grub, I tried to manually format the partitions with gparted and create a new partition and then install antiX but gives the same error, did that for you googling gives this error saw him when there is no partition to load but Reconce filesystem, ext4 is not what I'm doing wrong.

AntiX uses menu.lst instead of grub.conf, I've been looking around, and the file is fine, put in "root (hd0,1)", ie hard first (and only) drive, second partition , is the second partition "/ dev / sda2" because "/ dev / sda" is the swap, so this right, but now I've found that when you live in one fdisk says "warning partition 2 does not end on cylinder boundary "that is, there is an error in the partition" / dev / sda2 "which is what has to be mounted, I've tried to reformat with gparted and create a new partition table and nothing ...

Thanks!

Error 17 : Cannot mount selected partition
Posting the actual output of the command: fdisk -l would help. Debian 7 uses Grub2 which counts hard drives from zero, partitions from one. If AntiX is using Grub Legacy, it counts drives and partitions from zero. sda is the drive, sda1 is first drive/first partition, sda2 is first drive/second partition.
