gatos segmentation fault?

apt-get install gatos
gatos-conf

Segmentation fault

Using debian sarge and downloading off the general mirrors. Anyone know what could be the problem? Have tried installing it the other way but no luck. Anyone have luck doing this and could tell me how i'm supposed to get around to doing it? Using an ATI rage with the the 3d rage pro chipset (think it's r200 if i'm not wrong), trying to get pal input.
Could the problem be me not having the modules loaded properly or something like that? Thanks.
