Game Servers

I am in the process of setting up several game servers that will be placed at my local Data Center. All 4 of the machines will be Dual PIII 1 gig machines. I am wanting to install Sarge & a 2.6 Kernel. Since Sarge does not receive Security Updates as of yet, is this a good idea? I do not have a real problem with Woody, but Woody is limited to the 2.4 Kernel.

Would it work that I go ahead and install Sarge and the 2.6 Kernel of my choice and then add the secutiry line to my apt-get info? Then once Sarge goes Stable, I should be in like Flinn with the Security updates, right?

Thanks for any and all input.

The reason that Sarge doesn't get security updates is because its still work in progress. Meaning its constantly updated. Woody on the other hand is supposed to be set....no new stuff except "security" updates.

This doesn't mean that Sarge doesn't get the same updates to security as Woody would. Sarge still gets updated but there is no need for a seperate security tree, just install the latest from the normal Sarge tree.
