Fails to find CDRom

I am pretty new to linux, some FC experience on an X86 machine.

I am trying to install Debian 3.01 on a Sun Blade 150 w/ sparc processor. I boot to the cdrom and it starts the install. Right after choosing the language and country it tries to find the cdrom. I get the error that the cdrom was not found, probable cause is that the cd is not in the drive. Try again? Hit yes. Then it freezes.

Solaris 9 is on the disk now and I want to replace it. I am using the Sun KB and mouse. Sparc 550 proc, 128m ram.

Pulling my hair out and I didn't have that much to start with.

Thanks

I suppose you'll have to tell installer which kind of CDROM drive (IDE, SCSI, S-ATA) you are using...

Thanks for the info.... however I am not sure how to do that. All I am doing is hitting 'Stop-A' during boot and then telling it to boot from the cdrom, ok: boot cdrom . At the boot prompt I hit enter again. I use an IDE cdrom, what command and where should I enter it?

Thanks,
