More detail. What program stuck, how many others were active, how long was your PC running (both overall time, and login time) There are simply too many unknowns based on your post. Has it happened before, under similar circumstances, etc.
markus1982: I'll check the hardware after work, thank you! scott_R: I tryed to use this PC for Counter-Strike Server in small LAN. It runs only sshd and tonight I installed hlds 3110, than upgrade to cs_15_full.tar.gz and after running hlds_run the server stuck in few minutes
it says
Code:
./hlds_run: line 83: 2354 Segmentation fault (core dumped) $HL $*
Now I am 99% sure, that the problem is hardware malfunction
I'll check the hardware and will tell you the problem if I solve it, thanks friends !!!
When you get something alike it's a hardware malfunction. I'd check RAM, CPU, Motherboard in such a case ... nice to see more Debian people around BTW :-)
I was installed Debian GNU/Linux before week ago, and leave it alone (the PC is brand new). I had work with other servers in to network and has not any free time to install on it Counter-Strike and look if the PC and the game are working properly. So yesterday at midnight I tried to install first time Counter-Strike 1.3 and upgrade to 1.5. Now it's time to install some mods, but don't know witch one
If there someone have knowledge about Counter-Strike servers it will be helpful to me. I appreciate everyone's help
markus1982: I can told, that I am proud Debian GNU/Linux noob
