df reports 100% usage

Okay, I managed to get a pretty lean and mean debian install. I'm actually _having_ to use icewm right now though.

I've kept my old home directory, so I expected all to work well.

But no.

I installed the base system, then x-server, then KDE, didn't work, so I tried icewm, no good, then gnome - then amazingly icewm worked.

But the wierd thing is nothing works properly! Firefox only runs if I su into a console first. Mozilla dies if I click Search. I can't install the NVIDIA drivers (official ones).

It's driving me mad(der).

Any ideas, or shall I give trying to customoze my debian and install EVERYTHING!

Try creating another user and see if things work well with that userid. If so, you have some config files from your previous installation that do not play nice with your new installation.

Thanks for your help but...

I was being stupid (or was I? nothing really indicated the actual problem). I deleted a load of stuff from my home directory to see if the 100% would go down, sure enough it did. It seems that all the space isn't available to normal users.

I do have a slick system now. But still no nvidia drivers...
