Whener I apt-get something, the package is downloaded, but dpkg cannot install it, it tells me it is unsigned...
This deb may not be signed
Verification on package failed.
What do I do? Sorry for the formatting, lynx sucks
1. You're able to use it to read and post here, aren't you-- and you can do so even if you don't have/broke X? That's already many points ahead for not "sucking".
2. I apologized in advance the first time I used Lynx to post here, and I was suprised to discover that my post was just fine, format-wise. Yours is too.
As for your debs, according to man dpkg, you could use --force-bad-verify to:
Install a package even if debsig verification fails. This can be a security risk.
If I was you, I'd be more concerned about where I was getting said unverified packages, and possibly finding a repository whose packages didn't fail the verification test. But that's up to you. Hope this helps.
Ok, agreed, lynx rules. I tried several official mirrors, and all gave me the same problem. I assume the problem is on my end, and I believe a reinstall of debian should fix the problem...unless you have any other suggestions.
