Debian Wireless Network

Hey.

I just switched from Ubuntu to Debian. Ubuntu detected my wireless network automatically but Debian doesn't. Under the installation of Debian I plugged in a ethernetcable.

I'm in general new to Linux.

Is there a way to have Debian detect my wireless network automatically or to set it up?

Thanks in advance.

would help to know what wireless adapter you have..

What is the output of lspci (or if appropriate lspcmcia, or lsusb depending on the type of wireless adapter)

requires non-free firmware if I am not mistaken...

enable non-free in your /etc/apt/sources.list and install the intel 2200 firmware package(s)
