Hi,

I installed the base-system of debian woody (kernel-version 2.4.18-bf2.4).
Everything was ok.
Then I rebooted the system and the installation-programm started tasqsel to install additional packages.

I selected games, development and so on.
But the installation failed with the error:

So I ran "dselect" and wanted to install additional packages from the 6 debian cd´s.
But on the cd´s he found no .deb packages???


Anybody an idea?
Have I first to run tasqsel and then dselect?
How can I install additional packages from the original debian source-cd´s?


I know, many questions from a debian newbie, but please help :-)

apt-setup will allow you to set up your cd's

apt-get install aptitude (good program for package management)

Make sure too that your internet apt source is set, some packages may need other packages that are not on the cd.

That´s my biggest problem at home, I don´t have internet
