Debian From Scratch

Hi All,

Anyone know where I can get the DFS iso? I'm looking online and debian.org but am not seeing it.

Thanks,

ab

There ain't no such a thing. Never was an official one. Several years ago, a DD named John Goerzen put together such a hobby distribution, but it hasn't been active in a very long time. You might go to his blog, http://changelog.complete.org/ and do a "DFS" search ... Maybe there are still remnants.

The old site is down, but you can check here: http://darcs.complete.org/ for a source repository (not with isos, but it may get you started).

Here are the two pages I read when I used DFS. It was a fun experiment, but probably not worth the extra effort, unless you have very particular needs.

Edit: If you already have a working Debian installation already, I think that you can install the dfsbuild tool there. That would allow you to create custom isos yourself.
