debian 4 and oracle 9


guys, Im having trouble when trying to install oracle 9(9.2.0.1.0) with Fedora Core 4 and I also try it in OpenSuse 10.2 but it didnt work out.

Can I install it in Debian 4? or any Debian? I havent try it yet, and havent finished downloading the debian cds, but I want to hear from u guys.

I am inclined to think you might have some problems. Debian uses a wonderful packaging system called apt, but I think you will find Oracle is rpm based. There are tools to convert from one to another, such as alien, but I think you will have significant problems with the install.
