Debian 12.2 Mate fail to launch Live desktop on Dell Optiplex 780

Hi.

The boot seems to do just right, the splash image is shown - but after that, there is the black screen with an underscore character in upper left corner blinking, and it stays like that indefinitely.

At first, I taught it could have being Ventoy messing up. But after I flashed the iso image onto a usb stick (used Ballena etcher on Linux Mint). But same result.

I've also noticed that other distros that is based on Debian has same issue on this computer. Emabuntus and sparkylinux 7.2 is tested (on Ventoy only).

ISO image
Code:
sha256sum debian-live-12.2.0-amd64-mate.iso
efa5a0be3b9e4d837fa95b5cd88931b2609fce4c03b89bdda175160d87068212 debian-live-12.2.0-amd64-mate.iso
Video clip
Sorry for bad quality (camera failed to properly focus), but at least it gives a sense where it stops (better than me explaining)

Edit while writing this: I should test using the 12.4 iso images and see if those work better.

[Edit]

The 12.4 iso image was working without issues on the same computer. Problem solved

No material problems with any distro on either of my two SFF 780s, but the one without discrete video card is slow to wake the display connected via DisplayPort, so often on power up I don't see anything until the Grub menu appears.

Your Mint's 4 year old inxi is seriously ancient:
Code:
# inxi -S --vs
inxi 3.3.31-00 (2023-10-31)
System:
  Host: ara88 Kernel: 6.5.0-5-amd64 arch: x86_64 bits: 64 Console: pty pts/0
    Distro: Debian GNU/Linux trixie/sid
Inxi's changelog since release of yours has increased by over 9,000 lines so far, with 3.3.32 just about ready for release.
