Question Create permanent static dns entries for a usb dongle

Hi all,

I have installed kali (debian?) on a laptop to become familiar with it and do some training/testing.

The wifi and lan interfaces works ok with network manager.
When I connect a usb 4g dongle (cracked to bridged mode only) I do receive an ip address and a gateway from the mobile ISP... but no dns entries, thus no internet.
icmp works ok when testing to 8.8.8.8, etc

Tried setting the dns entries for the interface in network manager and resolv.conf but that doesn't appear to work.
Can any point towards how to create permanent static dns entries for only this usb dongle?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

I suggest you read the comments on Kali in the newbie forum. Kali isn't a normal OS, it's a pen testing tool. I believe it doesn't supply device firmware.
