Changing the color of the boot sequence text

I want to change the text displayed during boot to green.

I havent found any info on it, but it was done on knoppix I recall.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Debian Etch 2.6.15

I know that there is a vga= boot parameter to change the size and type of the console display during boot. I do not know what the option is to change the color, but try looking at The Linux Documentation Project (TLDP) and see if the Boot HOWTO or associated documents have what you are looking for. That might at least point you in the right direction, and there is a chance that you will find the answer there as well.
