Perhaps
Quote:
/home/grml/.hag-sets/standard/gtkrc-2.0
isn't created by the other script when /etc/rc.local is executed, but will be created later,
so the script can't make the symlink

Quote:
cd /etc
./rc.local
Code:
/etc/rc.local
works also, and lesser type work :-)

ok
I tried the last suggesstion
which kinda worked
LOL

adding this

Code:
ln -s /home/grml/.hag-sets/standard/gtkrc-2.0 /root/.gtkrc-2.0
ln -s /home/grml/.hag-sets/standard/gtkrc-2.0.mine /root/.gtkrc-2.0.mine
to /usr/share/hag-linker/stes/standard

made a symlink named "ln" in the /home/grml folder and it points to
"ln", which doesnt exist so its broke

But, its progreess
at least it made a symlink

It didnt make any symlinks in /root folder
where I need them

Code:
root@grml ~ # /usr/bin/hag-linker
Something went wrong... Let's shoot current developer and find another one!
1 root@grml ~ #
you mean like that while running?
it didnt make anything that time..

if I exit fluxbox and re-startx it makes the ln thing in /home/grml

When you boot,
are the directories and files
Quote:
/home/grml/.hag-sets/standard/gtkrc-2.0
and
Quote:
/home/grml/.hag-sets/standard/gtkrc-2.0.mine
present ?

yep
it makes those fine

problem is
without those same symlinks in the /root folder
when I open PCMANFM it complains the gtk-2.0 icons are not set and its ugly..

everything defaults to the hicolor theme it seems...

Maybe I could somehow just change the default theme
but, where would it be?

How repo?
I'm not good at scripting yet...

I wouldnt know where to point it to or from...

I dont understand why the hag-linker can't make the links in /root
no errors

In gnome and kde you can add applications at startup
So you can execute a script.
Perhaps the same can be done in your windowmanager.
