Hello,

What exactly is failing when you are trying to build your kernel?

Cheers,

Josh

Had a minor issue with compiling a 3.0-rc7 kernel recently, it turned out the modules weren't properly installed in /lib/modules/ so wasn't able to create a proper initramfs-image. Re-installing them worked. (note: I use the old way of "make && make install" method. Never got the m-a method working...)

are you saying to compile the traditional way and not the debian way?

For me, yes. But others have reported success using the m-a method, so YMMV!

I've never heard of building a kernel using module assistant...?

OK thanks for the tip....it worked fine.....I usually do not include
the virtualization options, so I never realized that this was the problem.
