Broken Trash KDE 3.4

I upgraded my kde to 3.4 using:

deb http://pkg-kde.alioth.debian.org/kde-3.4.0/ ./

but I got a broken trash. When I try to send files to trash I get the following:

Could not start process Unable to create io-slave:
klauncher said: Unknown protocol 'trash'

I did as explained here but did not work:

http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...protocol+trash

I am using GamesKnoppix 3.7-1. Any idea how to fix it?

Do you have the kio packages correctly installed, namely kdebase-kio-plaugins and kdepim-kio-plugins?

You are absolutely right. I had one of them the older version. I installed the 3.4 version of kdebase-kio-plugins and got the problem resolved. Thank you very much for a quick reply and easy solution.
