HI GUYS!! THIS IS MY FIRST TIME INSTALLING LINUX; I'M TRYING TO INSTALL DEBIAN I ALREADY HAVE THE CD'S FOR BEGAN THE INSTALLATION BUT THERE'S A PROBLEM MY CDS CAN'T BOOT, IN MY BIOS I CHANGED THE WAY OF BOOT AND THE FIRST OPTION IS THE CD...IF I OPEN THE CD I CAN SEE THE DEBIAN FILES BUT I CAN'T BEGIN INSTALLING..I HAVE A HD WITH 5 GB AND IT'S A MASTER ..
DO I NEED TO HAVE A SPECIAL PARTITION WITH A SPECIAL SIZE AND NAME ??
DO YOU KNOW A SPECIAL PARTITIONER FOR LINUX, DO I NEED IT??
So did you burn the CD as iso image? If it's in your cdrom station and you reboot it should start unless you didn't burn it as iso or it's corrupted.
The partitioner is part of the installation process. You can do it easy and hard. Default is easy everything in one partition but the harder option allows you to choose different partitions.

you can download boot floppies from the debian site if you are having trouble booting from cd - but seeing as your bios has the option to boot from cd i cannot imagin you needing boot floppies, since the cd's actually shoud work fine.
what does your computer say when reading the cd during bootup?
it doesn't say anything just stay in black the screen..and nothing happends..sometimes appears a message that says that there's no os and that i have to press any key to continue...
i dont know what you mean with post in all the caps...but i appreciate your time...well...i burn the cd`s in iso image..and if i open the cd in other machine i can see the files of debian..
its some strange also the fir st boot is on cd is already modified...i hope you can help me ...

posting in caps means WRITING IN UPPERCASE ONLY like that!
to get back to your prob - go into your bios and tell your computer to boot from cd - seems to me like you have no sys on your computer and it does not want to boot from cd.
ohh!! sorry for the caps there was no bad intention...
the thing you tell me about the boot with cd, i already done it..thats why i can't understand what is happening....
i mean boot cd ok, cd burn in iso ok, just one hd 9gb ok in master way ok, i don't have any partition but somebody tell me that to part the hd is part of the installation..if a use a win98 diskette to begin i'll enter and see the files of debian cd...
the thing is that i can't begin with the cd..it doesn't boot..
it doesn't start...just my screen comes black and a cursor appears blinking and just sometimes it appears something saying that there's no os that i give a click or any key to continue...not always...
