apt-get : reset an interrupted install process

I had tried to install quake2 using apt-get install quake2 and the dependencies are fine,... except that the mirror that the script askes to download the demo were really really slow and i had manually downloaded the demo (q2-314-demo-x86.exe) and wishing the script to undo any scripting (because if i ctrl-c and re-install quake2 it resumes at the download process) is there anyway to get rid of that? thanks in advance...

If you have downloaded all necessary packages you might want to try;

apt-get -f install

or maybe;

dpkg --configure -a
