apt-get install boot-floppies fail

Guys,
I tried to use the command apt-get install boot-floppies to get the
mklibs.sh script. but got the message as boot-floppies is not available..

Some where I read that the script will convert the dynamically linked lib
to static link lib. Idea was to get a small foot print of the lib.
How can I get this script?.

Thanks In advance

Regards.

Assuming you meant that you ran the command (you didn't put it in a "Code:" block, like this):
Code:
apt-get install boot-floppies
then you are trying to install the package boot-floppies.

Unfortunately, I cannot find any evidence that such a pkg. currently exists in Debian:
http://packages.debian.org/search?ke...ll&section=all
yields "Sorry, your search gave no results", even though it is specifically mentioned in: http://www.debian.org/releases/slink...chinfo.en.html
Installing Debian GNU/Linux 2.1 For Alpha
version 2.1.11, 28 August, 1999
which is waaay out of date.

Perhaps a little more explanation from you would help.

If you mean the mklibs package, it's a python script. "apt-get/aptitude install mklibs"
