Question

Now i am trying to
Applications>System tools>Networking and edited eth0 to prevent starting on system boot.
That seems quite a lot of things to do to get net on Sarge

Lightbulb

I think somebody should write a mini howto for a STAND-ALONE COMPUTER With aDSL
Connection.
For,My case ,
First I run pppoeconf to configure the xDsl connexn.
afterwards typed network-admin and added my LAN card (eth0) with option to not start at
boot.
thats it.
Now i should connect with pon dsl-provider and disconnct with poff or poff -a
Please Write ur tip/experiance.

uname-ram
Linux debian 2.6.11-smp #1 SMP Thu Jul 7 17:06:58 IST 2005 i686 GNU/Linux
